Atlantic Waste Services Company History
Atlantic
Waste Services, Inc. is a locally owned waste collection and disposal
company founded in October 1999 by Burke Wall. Mr. Wall has thirty (30)
years experience in the waste industry in the Savannah area. Mr. Wall
entered the waste collection business by acquiring Superior Sanitation
Service in 1976. He grew this company to become the second largest privately
owned Waste Collection and Disposal Company in the state of Georgia. Some
of the many customers serviced by Mr. Wall were Georgia Ports Authority,
Gulfsream Aircraft, Great Dane Trailers, Chatham County Board of Education,
Oglethorpe Mall, Savannah Mall, City of Garden City Georgia, City of Pooler
Georgia, Savannah Electric & Power, CSX Railroad and many others.
Mr. Wall sold Superior Sanitation to Waste Management of Savannah in 1991. He remained with Waste Management until September 1998. While with Waste Management he served as Division President for the Savannah, Hilton Head and Brunswick Georgia Divisions.
